Manfrotto 500PLONG Video Camera Plate

The extra length on this plate finally lets me slide my camcorder forward enough to balance properly with the heavy battery pack on the back. No more fighting to keep the tilt head steady during shots.

My camcorder with the heavy telescopic lens finally stops tipping forward mid-recording—this long version gives the balance I couldn’t get with the standard plate. The extra length locks down solidly in the head, and setup took me less than a minute.

This long plate solved my balance issue perfectly with my heavier telephoto lens setup. The extra length provides just enough slide room to get the center of gravity dialed in without having to add counterweights.
