I needed to shoot a low-angle macro shot without moving the whole tripod, and the 90° tilt both up and down on this adapter made it effortless. The lock mechanism feels really solid, too.

Fumbling with the center column lock while composing a low-angle shot used to drive me crazy, but this adapter’s 180° tilt makes it effortless. The locking knob has a nice, positive click that gives me confidence the camera won’t slip.
