The two rolls of HP5 Plus are a perfect match for the 25 pearl sheets, so you can shoot, develop, and print the same day without hunting for extra supplies. I burned through my first roll on a sunny afternoon and the 8×10 pearl finish gave my prints a nice, smooth depth that scans really well.

I’m just starting out in black and white photography and this kit made it super easy to jump in—the film gave me crisp negatives right away. The 8x10 pearl paper handled well in the darkroom and dried flat, which was a nice surprise for a beginner.

The pearl finish on the 8x10 sheets gives my enlargements a really nice subtle texture that glossy just doesn't have. Got 25 sheets plus two rolls of 36-exposure film, which was perfect for my first darkroom session without overbuying. Grain from the film printed beautifully at that size.
