I’ve been using this for ambient field recordings and the touchscreen interface makes switching between presets effortless. The eight XLR inputs give me plenty of flexibility for miking multiple sources at once, and the sound quality is noticeably cleaner than my old setup.

The 32-bit float recording is a game-changer for capturing quiet nature sounds without worrying about clipping. I was able to record a distant waterfall and a nearby bird simultaneously with zero distortion, and the 8 channels give me incredible flexibility for editing later.

I’ve been using this for field recording and the 32-bit float really saves me from worrying about clipping. The preamps are incredibly clean even with my quietest microphones. Definitely worth it for serious location sound work.
