ニコン AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G レンズ

The autofocus locks on so quietly I barely notice it’s working, which makes shooting candids way less awkward. On my DX body the 75mm equivalent is perfect for headshots, and the f/1.8 lets me shoot indoors without cranking the ISO.

The bokeh at f/1.8 is creamy and dreamy right out of the box, and the autofocus locks on fast even in dim light. It makes my DX camera feel like a portrait powerhouse with that 75mm equivalent reach.

Shot wide open at f/1.8, the bokeh is beautifully smooth for portraits. The only small downside is the plastic build feels a bit light compared to metal lenses I’ve used, but the image quality more than makes up for it.
