I’ve been using it with my smartphone for quick video clips and the built-in phone clamp is really handy. The whole thing folds up small enough to toss in my jacket pocket, which is perfect for travel.

The twist-lock mechanism clicks into place with a satisfying firmness, so I never worry about the legs sagging mid-shot. I’ve used it for both my DSLR and phone on a rocky trail, and the convertible head switched between them in seconds without any fiddly adapters.

The legs fold up so compactly that I can toss it in my jacket pocket without noticing. I used it to shoot a quick timelapse on a hike, and the ball head held my mirrorless camera rock-steady even in a light breeze.
