Canon RF 85mm f/1.4 L VCM Lens
The Canon RF 85mm f/1.4 L VCM is a fast, short-telephoto prime lens that’s a perfect tool for today’s hybrid creators. This lens is built for both photographers and videographers, offering a blend of exceptional image quality, responsive autofocus, and intuitive controls in a function-first design.

Optimized for Hybrid Creators
Ideal Focal Length: The classic 85mm focal length is a favorite for portraits and events, but its narrow field of view and bright f/1.4 maximum aperture also make it great for isolating subjects in landscapes and street photography.

Superior Optics: The optical design features a UD (ultra-low dispersion) element and an aspherical element to suppress chromatic and spherical aberrations, ensuring impressive clarity and sharpness. Air Sphere (ASC) and Subwavelength structure (SWC) coatings reduce flare and ghosting for excellent contrast.

Fast and Quiet Autofocus: A Voice Coil Motor (VCM) focusing system provides an ideal balance of speed and quiet performance, which is especially beneficial for video recording.

Video-Centric Features: The lens is optimized for video, with a manual aperture ring that can be de-clicked for smooth, silent iris pulls. It also features incredibly well-controlled focus breathing, which helps maintain a consistent composition when racking focus.

Durable and Intuitive Design
L-Series Build Quality: This lens features L-Series level durability and weather resistance, making it a reliable choice for working in challenging conditions.

Matched Design: The lens is designed to be the same size as other primes in the Hybrid series, and they all share the same 67mm front filter ring. This makes it easy to switch between lenses on a shoot without having to re-rig.

Customizable Controls: In addition to the manual aperture ring, the lens has a customizable Control Ring and Function Button that can be programmed to control a range of shooting settings.
