FUJIFILM XF 500mm f/5.6 R LM OIS WR Lens

The XF 500mm f/5.6 R LM OIS WR is the longest prime FUJIFILM makes, giving
X-mount shooters a 750mm full-frame equivalent for birds, wildlife and field
sports. What makes it practical is the weight: under 3 lb and 10.1″ long, with
5.5 stops of optical stabilization, so handheld shooting is realistic rather than
theoretical at this focal length.

Optics

21 elements in 14 groups, including five extra-low dispersion elements and two
Super ED elements, to control chromatic aberration and distortion — necessary at
this reach when paired with the 40.2MP X-series sensors. A rounded 9-blade
diaphragm keeps out-of-focus highlights smooth.

Autofocus

A Linear Motor system focuses fast and near-silently, working with X-series
subject detection to acquire moving subjects quickly. Focus presets let you jump
to a set distance instead of hunting for it.

Handling

• Arca-Swiss compatible tripod collar foot, so no separate plate is needed for a tripod or monopod.
• Weather-sealed against dust and moisture when paired with a weather-resistant X-series body.
• Accepts the optional 1.4x and 2x teleconverters, taking the lens to 700mm and 1000mm actual focal length (1050mm and 1500mm full-frame equivalent).
