The PROMASTER SCOUT BALL HEAD operates smoothly, and incorporates the ProMaster dovetail quick release system (arca-swiss compatible) so you can use the included quick release plate, an L Bracket, and a host of other compatible accessories. A single level adjusts the tension of both the ball and the panning control. Degree marks are etched into the base for precise rotation. And a safety mechanism in the quick release system prevents your camera from being accidentally dropped.

Henry ★★★★★

The dovetail quick release system locks securely and feels much more solid than my old screw-style clamp. It's completely changed how quickly I can swap between my camera and a lens plate in the field.

Richard A. ★★★★★

I was hesitant about the ball head’s durability, but the smooth arca-swiss plate locks tight every time and holds my heavy lens perfectly. It’s been rock solid for landscape shots, and the quick release makes swapping setups effortless.

George S. ★★★★★

The dovetail quick release system is a game-changer for swapping between my L bracket and standard plate quickly in the field. The ball head holds my telephoto setup rock steady even at awkward angles, and the tension control lets me dial in just the right amount of drag for panning shots.
