The ProMaster Bluetooth Wireless Remote (Model 96930) is an advanced handheld wireless camera controller engineered to deliver full-featured remote operation for compatible Canon EOS R-series mirrorless cameras, EOS DSLRs, and PowerShot compacts. Serving as a direct, high-performance alternative to the Canon BR-E1 remote, this unit utilizes dependable 2.4 GHz Bluetooth Low Energy technology to free photographers and video creators from directional line-of-sight restrictions. Operating reliably up to 32 feet (10 meters) away from the camera—even around corners, through obstacles, or from inside a pocket—it provides effortless control for long-exposure landscapes, astrophotography, wildlife setups, group portraits, and solo content creation without introducing camera shake.

Beyond acting as a vibration-free shutter release, the remote provides dedicated creative controls for hybrid workflows. An integrated mode toggle lets users switch between immediate shutter release, a 2-second delay timer (ideal for stepping into frame during self-portraits), and video movie recording start/stop. Dedicated front buttons enable manual autofocus triggering and motorized power zoom operation with compatible Canon Power Zoom adapters and PZ-equipped zoom lenses. Operating via a tactile, dedicated handheld form factor, it eliminates the battery drain, disconnections, and touchscreen latency associated with mobile smartphone apps. Constructed from durable, lightweight composite materials weighing just 0.65 oz, the remote arrives ready to use with an included CR2032 lithium coin cell battery.
