Sony PXW-Z200 4K 1″ CMOS Sensor XDCAM Camcorder

The PXW-Z200 shares the HXR-NX800’s imaging chain — a 1″-type Exmor RS CMOS
sensor with BIONZ XR, 5K oversampling, UHD 4K to 120 fps — and adds the
professional I/O that places it in the XDCAM line: 12G-SDI in and out, plus
timecode and genlock. If you’re feeding a switcher or syncing to other cameras,
that is the reason to choose this over the NX800.

Lens and exposure

• 20x G-series optical zoom, 24-480mm equivalent, extending to 30x in 4K and 40x in HD with Clear Image Zoom.
• Built-in variable ND filter from 1/4 to 1/128, adjusted on a dial.
• Full Auto mode taking over ND, iris, gain, shutter and white balance at one button press.
• ATW (Auto-Tracing White Balance) holding color in changing and shaded light.
• Active Mode stabilization combining optical and electronic correction.

Autofocus and framing

• AI deep-learning subject recognition across 81% of the frame.
