The Tamron 35-100mm f/2.8 Di III VXD for Sony E-mount is a high-performance, constant-aperture zoom designed for photographers who need professional-grade portrait capabilities in a compact form factor. Covering the most essential focal lengths for people and event photography, this lens delivers the “trinity” level performance of a 70-200mm but in a much more portable, travel-friendly package.
Versatile Portraiture & Performance
Constant f/2.8 Aperture: The bright maximum aperture remains consistent throughout the entire zoom range, providing excellent low-light capability and a shallow depth of field for beautiful, creamy bokeh that makes your subjects stand out.
VXD Linear Motor: Tamron’s Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive (VXD) provides rapid, pinpoint-accurate autofocus. This electromagnetic system is nearly silent, making it as effective for high-end video production as it is for fast-paced action photography.
Tamron Lens Utility: Customize your shooting experience by connecting the lens via its USB-C port or wirelessly via Bluetooth. You can program the focus ring behavior (linear vs. non-linear) and customize autofocus functions to suit your specific workflow.
Compact & Built for the Field
Lightweight Ergonomics: Weighing just over 1 lb and measuring only 4.7″ in length, this lens provides a professional f/2.8 experience without the bulk of traditional telephoto zooms, making it an ideal choice for all-day weddings or travel.
Advanced Optical Design: Featuring 15 elements in 13 groups, the optical path is optimized to deliver high resolution from corner to corner while significantly reducing chromatic aberrations.
Weather-Ready Construction: The lens features moisture-resistant sealing and a fluorine coating on the front element to repel water, oil, and fingerprints, allowing you to shoot with confidence in unpredictable outdoor conditions.
