Flashpoint eVOLV 200 R2 TTL Pocket Flash (Godox AD200)

The Flashpoint eVOLV 200 R2 is a portable battery-powered pocket flash sold by Adorama as the rebadged version of the Godox AD200, offering photographers a compact, high-power flash system for both studio and on-location use. It’s aimed at wedding, portrait, and event photographers who want studio-strobe-like output in a smaller, more portable form factor than a traditional monolight.

At its core, the eVOLV 200 R2 offers 200Ws of flash power, a substantial output for its compact size, along with a modular head system that allows photographers to swap between a bare bulb flash head for wide, even light spread and a fresnel/speedlight-style head for more directional, focused output, giving flexibility for different lighting scenarios without needing multiple separate flash units. The flash supports both TTL (through-the-lens) automatic exposure and full manual control, allowing photographers to move between automated convenience and precise manual flash settings depending on the shooting situation.

High-speed sync is supported, enabling flash synchronization at shutter speeds beyond the camera’s standard sync speed, useful for balancing flash output against bright ambient light or shooting at wide apertures outdoors. The flash also includes Godox’s 2.4GHz X System wireless receiver built in, allowing it to be triggered and adjusted remotely from a compatible Godox or Flashpoint X System transmitter mounted on the camera, including remote power adjustments without needing to walk back to the light.

Power comes from a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack, offering a substantial number of full-power flashes per charge and fast recycle times, giving photographers strong endurance for extended shooting sessions away from AC power. The flash’s Bowens-style-compatible modifier mount (via included accessories or the bare bulb head) allows use with a range of softboxes, umbrellas, and other light-shaping modifiers common in studio and on-location lighting setups.

As a rebadged Godox AD200 sold under Adorama’s Flashpoint brand, the eVOLV 200 R2 shares its core hardware, firmware, and wireless system with the Godox original, meaning it’s generally compatible with the broader Godox X System ecosystem of triggers and accessories.
