The Opteka HD 500mm f/8 is a third-party catadioptric mirror lens offering a long telephoto focal length in a compact, lightweight form factor relative to conventional telephoto designs of equivalent reach. The fixed f/8 aperture and mirror optical construction produce the characteristic donut-shaped bokeh associated with mirror lenses. The lens features a fixed focus design with a manual focus ring and accepts standard 72mm filters. Included with this listing is a Canon FD mount adapter, allowing the lens to be used on Canon FD-mount film SLR bodies, though the lens can also be adapted to a wide range of mirrorless systems via appropriate T-mount adapters.
