RODE Wireless Micro 2-Person Ultracompact Wireless Mic System w/ USB-C Connector

The RODE Wireless Micro is an ultracompact 2-person wireless lavalier microphone system designed for content creators, filmmakers, and mobile videographers who need a small, easy-to-use wireless audio solution for smartphones, cameras, and other USB-C compatible devices. Its miniaturized form factor distinguishes it from RODE’s larger Wireless GO and Wireless PRO systems, prioritizing portability and simplicity for creators who want reliable audio without a bulkier setup.

The system includes two compact transmitters, each functioning as a self-contained clip-on microphone and transmitter unit in one small housing, along with a correspondingly compact receiver featuring a USB-C connector for direct connection to compatible cameras, smartphones, or other USB-C devices. This all-in-one transmitter design, combining the microphone capsule and wireless transmitter into a single small unit, is a key feature distinguishing the Wireless Micro from systems that use separate clip-on lavalier mics connected to a transmitter body.

Operating on 2.4GHz wireless frequency, the system is designed for straightforward, reliable wireless audio transmission between the two transmitters and the receiver, capturing audio from two separate speakers independently, useful for interviews, dual-host content, and other multi-speaker recording scenarios. The USB-C receiver connector allows for direct digital connection to compatible devices without needing a separate audio cable or 3.5mm adapter, streamlining setup for creators working with USB-C cameras or smartphones.

Handling emphasizes simplicity and portability, with small, lightweight transmitters designed to clip discreetly onto clothing, minimizing their visual presence on camera, along with straightforward operation intended for creators who want quick, reliable wireless audio without extensive menu navigation or setup complexity. Because exact battery life, onboard recording capability, and full compatibility details can vary by firmware version and specific device pairing, videographers should confirm these specifics against RODE’s current documentation for this exact system before use.
