Soligor Auto-Zoom 55-135mm f/3.5 Lens for Minolta

The Soligor Auto-Zoom 55-135mm f/3.5 is a manual focus standard to short telephoto zoom lens produced for Minolta’s SR mount SLR system. Covering a focal range from 55mm to 135mm with a constant f/3.5 maximum aperture throughout, it addresses a practical zoom range well suited to everyday, portrait, and general-purpose photography, with the constant aperture maintaining consistent exposure and depth of field characteristics across the entire zoom range. The Auto designation confirms an automatic aperture mechanism that stops down to the set aperture only at the moment of exposure, allowing the viewfinder to remain bright during composition and focusing. Fully manual focus operation covers focus adjustment directly on the lens. Soligor was a well-known third-party lens brand active during the film SLR era, producing a wide range of alternative optics across multiple mount systems at accessible price points. Compatible with Minolta SR, MC, and MD mount film SLR bodies, and adaptable to mirrorless and other camera systems via third-party Minolta SR mount adapters.
