Sony ALC-SH132 Lens Hood
The Sony ALC-SH132 is a dedicated lens hood precision-engineered for Sony’s versatile full-frame standard zoom lenses. Designed to maintain the professional imaging standards of the FE system, this hood is a vital tool for photographers looking to maximize contrast and safeguard their optics.
Optical Precision & Flare Control
Stray Light Suppression: By deflecting off-axis light before it enters the lens, the ALC-SH132 effectively minimizes lens flare and ghosting. This ensures your photos and videos retain deep contrast and vibrant color fidelity, even when shooting in backlit conditions or near strong light sources.
Petal-Shaped Design: The specialized “flower” shape is mathematically optimized to provide maximum shading at the 70mm telephoto end while ensuring a clear, vignette-free frame at the 28mm wide-angle setting.
Essential Physical Protection
Impact Shielding: Beyond its optical benefits, the hood serves as a rugged physical buffer. Its durable construction is designed to absorb the force of accidental bumps, knocks, and minor impacts, protecting your front glass element from damage.
Element Defense: The extended design provides an extra layer of security against moisture, dust, and accidental fingerprints, keeping your lens surface cleaner during active use.
Lens Compatibility
This hood is specifically designed for a perfect fit on the following Sony E-mount lenses:
FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS (SEL2870)
FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS II
