Jason B. ★★★★★

I've been using this on my full-frame Sony for wildlife shots and the 500mm reach is incredible without the lens being too heavy to handhold for an afternoon. The zoom ring is smooth and precise, even when I'm quickly adjusting from a distant bird to something closer.

Christopher ★★★★★

The autofocus is incredibly snappy on my Sony a7III, even tracking birds in flight without hesitation. The zoom ring has just the right amount of resistance for smooth, precise adjustments, and it’s sharp enough at 500mm to crop in heavily on distant subjects.

Victoria K. ★★★★★

I was hesitant about the weight, but the vibration compensation really helps keep handheld shots sharp at 500mm. Autofocus locks onto birds faster than I expected.
