RODE Mini Boompole (6.7′)

The 6.7-foot reach is perfect for overhead dialogue shots, and collapsing it down to 33 inches makes it easy to toss in my bag between takes. The aluminium build feels solid without weighing my arm down during long recordings.

I was surprised at how sturdy this feels for its weight—the aluminum construction is solid even at full 6.7 feet. It’s easy to adjust length on the fly without any wobble. Perfect for run-and-gun shoots.

The extension mechanism is smooth and locks firmly at every length, which makes adjusting on set quick and hassle-free. Weighing almost nothing, I can hold it steady for long dialogue scenes without my arm giving out.
