Sony a7R VI Mirrorless Camera

Sony a7R VI Mirrorless Camera
The Sony a7R VI is a masterwork of engineering that shatters the traditional trade-off between extreme resolution and high-speed performance. By pairing a groundbreaking 66.8MP fully stacked sensor with the advanced BIONZ XR2 processor, this camera delivers 30 fps bursts, elite 8K cinema capabilities, and a sophisticated AI-driven autofocus system. Whether you are a professional landscape photographer, a high-action sports shooter, or a commercial filmmaker, the a7R VI serves as a singular, uncompromising solution for every medium.

World-First 66.8MP Stacked Sensor
Exmor RS BSI CMOS Sensor: This newly developed 66.8MP sensor is the highest-resolution fully stacked full-frame sensor ever produced. The stacked architecture enables 5.6x faster readout speeds, virtually eliminating rolling shutter and powering advanced AI tasks.

16-Stop Dynamic Range: Experience unmatched tonal depth and clarity. The BSI design ensures exceptionally low shadow noise, making it ideal for high-end advertising, editorial, and HDR applications.

Pixel Shift Multi Shooting: For still-life and architectural work, this mode composites up to 16 exposures into a single 265.8MP file, providing color accuracy and detail that surpasses the limits of a single exposure.

Flagship Speed & Action Features
30 fps Continuous Shooting: Despite its massive resolution, the a7R VI maintains full AF/AE tracking at up to 30 frames per second.

Pre-Capture & Speed Boost: Never miss a critical moment. Pre-Capture records up to 1 second of images before you fully press the shutter, while Speed Boost allows you to instantly toggle to your highest frame rate via a custom button.

8.5-Stop In-Body Stabilization: A revised 5-axis IBIS system offers up to 8.5 stops of compensation at the center, ensuring tack-sharp handheld imagery even at slow shutter speeds.

Next-Generation AI Autofocus
Dedicated AI Processing Unit: The a7R VI utilizes deep learning for Real-time Recognition AF+, identifying seven distinct subject types with surgical precision:

Human: Advanced pose estimation tracks heads and bodies even when subjects are obscured or turned away.

Animal/Bird: Specialized modes for dogs, cats, and birds, now with improved eye-pinpointing accuracy.

Insects & Vehicles: Dedicated tracking for insects, cars, trains, and airplanes, focusing on specific parts like the cockpit or the front of a locomotive.

Fast Hybrid AF: A dense grid of 759 phase-detection points covers 94% of the sensor, providing reliable focus in environments as dark as -6 EV.

Professional 8K & 4K Cinema
8K 30p & 4K 120p Video: Capture high-resolution 8K video via 8.2K oversampling or cinematic 4K 120p via 5K oversampling.

Dual Gain Function: A specialized video mode that minimizes noise while preserving shadow detail, perfect for landscapes and static interiors where smooth tonal gradations are paramount.

Advanced Audio: Support for the optional XLR-A4 adapter enables 32-bit float / 96 kHz audio recording, ensuring your sound quality matches your visuals.

Thermal Management: A sigma-shaped graphite heatsink allows for extended recording times—up to 120 minutes of 4K 120p in standard temperatures.

Revolutionary Body Design
Ultra-HD EVF: The 9.44m-dot QXGA OLED viewfinder is 3x brighter than its predecessor, featuring a 120 fps refresh rate and 0.9x magnification.

4-Axis Multi-Angle LCD: Combines the flexibility of a tilt screen with the versatility of a side-opening vari-angle display, allowing for effortless framing at any angle.

Dual USB-C Ports: One dedicated 10 Gbps data port and one dedicated power delivery port allow you to charge the battery or power the camera while simultaneously transferring files.

Ruggedized Build: Full magnesium alloy chassis with extensive weather-sealing around all joints and covers for reliable operation in the harshest environments.
