Sony a7C Mirrorless Camera (Black)

The Sony a7C is a compact full-frame mirrorless camera built around a 24.2-megapixel back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor, packing full-frame image quality into one of the smallest and lightest full-frame camera bodies on the market, making it an appealing option for travel, everyday shooting, and photographers who want a discreet, highly portable system without sacrificing sensor performance. Finished in black, its compact rangefinder-style design sets it apart from Sony’s more traditional SLR-shaped a7 series bodies while retaining much of the same core imaging technology.

Powered by the BIONZ X image processor, the a7C delivers strong low-light performance and a wide sensitivity range, along with fast and reliable autofocus driven by 693 phase-detection points covering a broad area of the frame. Sony’s Real-time Eye AF for both humans and animals, along with Real-time Tracking, gives photographers confident subject acquisition for portraits, pets, and everyday candid shooting, while continuous shooting up to 10 frames per second helps capture fleeting moments with precision. In-body 5-axis image stabilization further supports sharp handheld results across both stills and video.

Video capabilities include 4K recording with full pixel readout and no pixel binning, along with S-Log2 and S-Log3 profiles for photographers looking for greater dynamic range and flexibility in color grading during post-production. The fully articulating 3-inch touchscreen LCD flips forward for vlogging and self-recording setups, complementing the camera’s appeal to hybrid shooters and content creators, while a compact electronic viewfinder is built into the corner of the body, keeping the overall footprint small compared to centered-viewfinder designs.

Despite its compact size, the a7C retains a magnesium-alloy chassis with dust and moisture resistance, along with a single SD card slot supporting UHS-II cards for fast write speeds. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support wireless image transfer and remote control through Sony’s companion app, and the camera uses the higher-capacity NP-FZ100 battery for extended shooting sessions relative to its small size. The Sony E-mount provides access to Sony’s extensive native lens lineup, including compact primes and zooms well matched to the camera’s small form factor. This combination of full-frame image quality, dependable autofocus, video flexibility, and a genuinely compact body has made the a7C a popular choice for photographers and content creators wanting full-frame performance in a travel-friendly package.
