Sony ZV-1F Vlogging Camera (Black)

The Sony ZV-1F is a compact vlogging camera designed specifically for content creators and social media users who prioritize a wide-angle field of view for selfie-style and group shooting over the zoom versatility of Sony’s standard ZV-1. As a variant within Sony’s ZV series, it strips down some of the flagship ZV-1’s features in favor of a simpler, more affordable, vlogging-focused package.

At its core is a 1-inch, 20.1MP stacked CMOS sensor paired with Sony’s BIONZ X image processor, delivering strong image quality and low-light performance for a camera of this size. Unlike the standard ZV-1, the ZV-1F uses a fixed, non-zooming wide-angle lens with a fast aperture, prioritizing a wider field of view well suited to vlogging, group selfies, and showing more of the creator’s surroundings in frame without needing to step back.

Autofocus benefits from Sony’s Fast Hybrid AF system with real-time Eye AF for both humans and animals, helping keep the subject in focus during handheld vlogging and casual shooting. The camera includes the Product Showcase Set mode carried over from the ZV-1, allowing autofocus to quickly shift from a person’s face to an object held up to the lens, useful for creators reviewing or demonstrating products on camera. A Bokeh Switch (Background Defocus) feature lets users quickly toggle between a shallow depth of field for subject separation and a deeper depth of field for keeping more of the scene in focus.

Video capability includes 4K recording at up to 30p, along with Full HD recording at higher frame rates for slow-motion capture. The fully articulating side-flip LCD screen is positioned for easy self-monitoring while vlogging, letting users confirm framing and focus while shooting themselves. A built-in directional microphone is designed to improve audio quality for outdoor recording compared to a typical built-in camera microphone.

Handling includes a dedicated movie record button and USB streaming capability, allowing the ZV-1F to function as a webcam for live streaming or video calls when connected to a computer. Its compact, lightweight body is designed for one-handed operation and portability, making it easy to carry for everyday content creation.
